So Worth It!
We first saw Dave and Company at La Luna in Portland, OR back in 1995, my husband and I. They played a terrific show then and it was such an intimate venue we were pretty sure seeing them at Safeco Field would note be the same. Fortunately, our son who has been a big fan for a couple of years really wanted to go (he is 13 and it was his first concert). None of us were disappointed! What a great show it was. We enjoyed seeing Dave and Pat play again and the addition of Taylor Hawkins was mind blowing. What amazing skill and he can sing! Several reviews mentioned that Dave was having some voice difficulties but to be honest we didn't really notice. Loved, Loved, Loved that they played all the favorites! Loved the fun they had with the band introductions and the little back and forth that Dave and Taylor had going on. More than anything enjoyed how Dave kept the audience involved and how at one point he asked that the stage lights be turned off so he could see all of us. As we all stood with only our phone lights brightening the stadium, (whether they could see us or not), it felt so intimate (almost like a club). We sat in section 129 which listed as an obstructed view. It was right in front of the speaker towers but with the band's three big screens we didn't feel like we missed a thing. So yes, so worth it, great show, we heard all our favorites and sang and screamed our hearts out. Thanks guys, you were awesome!!!
